USCIS announced that starting on December 2, it will adjust the premium request fee for employment petitions.
The special processing fee will increase to $1,440 from the current fee of $1,410 for Form I-129, Petition for Nonimmigrant Worker, and Form I-140, Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker. This increase, implemented under the Immigration and Nationality Act, reflects all inflation from the implementation of the fee in June 2001 through August 2019 based on the Consumer Price Index for Consumers. Use Urban (CPI-U). USCIS last increased fees in 2018.
The Special Disposition is an optional service that authorizes certain petitioners to file Form I-129 or I-140. The system allows plaintiffs to request 15-day processing if they pay an additional fee. This is a fee paid in addition to the basic application fee and other applicable fees. It cannot be waived.
