Investment Requirements

To obtain residency under the Malta Residence Programme, applicants must meet a set of financial obligations designed to demonstrate commitment to residing in Malta.

These requirements typically include:

  • A qualifying real estate commitment (rent or purchase)
  • A government contribution
  • Administrative and due diligence fees

Real Estate Requirement

  • Rent a Property 

Applicants may qualify by renting residential property in Malta.

Minimum Annual Rental Value: €14,000 per year

  • Purchase A Property

Applicants may alternatively purchase real estate in Malta.

Minimum Property Purchase Value: €375,000

Government Contribution

In addition to the real estate requirement, applicants must make a non-refundable government contribution.

The amount depends on whether the applicant chooses to rent or purchase property

  • Government Contribution €60,000 (if renting)
  • Government Contribution €30,000 (if purchasing) 

Administrative Fees

Applicants are also required to pay administrative fees as part of the application process.

Charitable Donation
